Privacy Policy
How BM Garage, a division of Super Car Care Pty Ltd, collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Protecting Your Privacy
At BM Garage, a division of Super Car Care Pty Ltd (ABN 28 633 006 354), we prioritise the privacy and security of your personal information. We are committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Principles as outlined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For more information, the Australian Privacy Principles are available on the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner’s website at www.oaic.gov.au.
We are a workshop, not a marketing business. We ask for what we need to look after your car properly, and nothing more.
Types of Information We Collect
When you book a service, request a quote, or otherwise get in touch, we may collect and store:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your preferred date and time for the booking
- Your vehicle’s make, model, year, kilometres travelled and registration number
- Whatever you tell us in the message box — the symptoms, the noise, the warning light
- Photos you choose to attach to a quote or booking (optional, and capped at six)
- The service and repair history of your vehicle with us, including the work performed, parts fitted and invoices issued
- Messages you send us through the online assistant, by SMS, or by email
Photos are entirely optional — they simply help us quote accurately without you having to describe a scrape or a leak in words. If you would rather not send one, the form works perfectly well without it.
If you choose not to provide the basics such as your name, contact details and vehicle details, we may be unable to book, quote, service or repair your vehicle.
Your Website Activity
Anything you do on the BM Garage website starts out anonymous. We pay attention to how the site is used for two straightforward reasons: to make it easier to find the service you need, and to keep improving the website. So you can see exactly what that involves, this is the activity we may record:
- Pages and services you view, and how far you read
- Booking and quote forms you start or submit
- Conversations you have with the online assistant on this site
- Technical and session details such as device type, the website that referred you, pages visited, and how often you return
Until you choose to tell us who you are, none of this is tied to you as a person. It is kept against an anonymous identifier stored in your browser, not your name. Only when you give us your email address or mobile number — by booking, requesting a quote, or subscribing to updates — can that earlier activity be connected to your contact details.
You can switch this off. Your browser’s privacy settings let you limit or block what we record, for instance by clearing site data or turning off storage, though some website features may not work as intended. And to be clear, we do not sell your personal information or your browsing activity to anyone.
How We Use Your Information
BM Garage will only use or disclose your personal details in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Booking your car in and confirming the time with you
- Preparing a quote and, once you approve it, carrying out the work
- Ordering the correct parts for your vehicle
- Keeping a service history so future work is informed by what came before
- Issuing invoices and receipts
- Contacting you about your vehicle while it is with us
- Reminding you when a service is coming due, where you have asked us to
- Inviting you to leave a review after a visit
- Answering your questions by phone, SMS, email or the online assistant
- Improving our services and the way this website works
We may also disclose your information to relevant government, law enforcement, or regulatory bodies if required by law.
Service Reminders, Updates and Opting Out
We send two kinds of message. The first is about your car: booking confirmations, quotes, progress updates and a note when the work is done. These are part of the service you have asked us for, and you will receive them while your job is open.
The second kind is optional: service reminders, occasional workshop updates, and review invitations. We only send these to people who have given us their details for that purpose, such as by subscribing on this website, and we record when and where that consent was given.
You can stop the optional messages at any time. Reply STOP to any text message from us, or email [email protected] and ask to be taken off the list. We will action it promptly, and opting out of updates never affects the service you receive at the workshop.
Who We Share It With
We keep the circle small. Your information may be shared with:
- Parts suppliers, where the part has to be ordered against your vehicle
- Specialist sub-contractors, where a job needs work performed outside our workshop
- The service providers that operate our booking system, SMS and email delivery, and accounting software on our behalf
- Government, law enforcement or regulatory bodies, where the law requires it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your details to third parties so they can market to you.
Data Security
We take the protection of your personal information seriously. Booking details, service records and any photos you send are stored securely in our systems, and we implement reasonable measures to ensure confidentiality and compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We keep this information for as long as we need it to service your vehicle and to meet our record-keeping obligations.
Accessing and Correcting Your Information
You have the right to request access to the personal information BM Garage holds about you, and to ask us to correct it if anything is wrong or out of date. To make such a request, please contact our Privacy Officer at [email protected], providing sufficient identification and specifying the details you wish to access or correct.

If the issue is unresolved, you may escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at [email protected] or call 1300 363 992.
