BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce
BMW Service and Repair in Melbourne
BM Garage is a BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce specialist workshop in Nunawading, in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Independent servicing and repair, with the logbook stamped and the new car warranty intact.
A workshop built around the brand
The name is not decoration. BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce are what this workshop is set up for, and that shows in the diagnostic equipment, in the parts we keep on the shelf, and mostly in the fact that the technicians have seen your problem before.
It matters more on a German car than on most. A modern BMW will happily run with a fault stored in a module that never lights the dashboard, and the gap between a small repair and a very large one is often just whether the person looking at it knows which symptom usually leads where. That knowledge is the thing you are actually buying.
We work across the BMW range, and on MINI and Rolls-Royce. If your car is an unusual model or a specialist variant, tell us when you call and we will be straight with you about whether it is a job for us.
What we do for BMW owners
- Logbook servicing to the BMW schedule for your model, with the book stamped

- Cooling system work, including hoses, pumps and thermostats
- Oil leaks, including sump, rocker cover, transmission and differential seals
- Air conditioning re-gas, leak diagnosis and repair
- Battery testing and replacement
- Full computer diagnostics, including stored and pending fault codes

The people who work on it
Customers tend to name the person rather than the workshop, which is usually a good sign. Eddy, Ken, Kent and Chen all appear by name in our Google reviews, and the reviews describe the same few things over and over: the car was explained before the work started, the price did not move afterwards, and somebody rang to see how it was going once the car was back on the road.
One review covers an ageing X1 brought in for its first oil change and service in a long time, and describes a thorough assessment, a reasonable price, and no unnecessary work. Another covers an X5 that needed several repairs at once. A third describes a leak from a rear differential output axle seal where a torn rear bushing was found on the hoist and both were quoted together. That last one is the job we would point at, because the fault the customer knew about was not the only one there.
The Google profile currently sits at 5.0 from 108 ratings.
Servicing away from the dealership
Having a BMW serviced outside the dealer network does not void the new car warranty. Under Australian Consumer Law a manufacturer cannot require you to service at their own dealership in order to keep it, provided the servicing follows the manufacturer schedule and uses parts of the correct specification.
So that is how we service them: to the BMW schedule for your model, with an oil that carries the right approval, with parts that meet the specification, and with the logbook stamped and dated. Keep the invoices too. A stamped book and a set of invoices listing the work and the parts are the evidence a warranty claim needs.
Where to find us
The workshop is at 13 Metropolitan Avenue, Nunawading VIC 3131, which puts it within easy reach of Blackburn, Mitcham, Box Hill, Doncaster, Ringwood, Vermont, Forest Hill, Glen Waverley, Balwyn and the rest of the eastern corridor. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00am and Saturday morning, and closed on Sundays.
Call the workshop or book through the form. If something is intermittent, tell us when it happens rather than only what it does, because on a modern car that is frequently the more useful half of the description.
